School Visits

Plan a personalized visit with your students in person or digitally!

In person visit information

  • Recommended audience:
    • 2nd-6th grade students.
  • What does the day look like?
    • When I visit your school, you have me all day! I will conduct a 30-45 minute presentation based on the time you allow. During the presentation, I will talk a bit about my life and how I create my comics. I will also do some live sketching and take questions from the students.
    • Since I am with you all day, please feel free to schedule as many sessions as possible during the school day, leaving at least an hour open for me to get lunch somewhere.

Virtual visit information

  • Recommended audience:
    • 2nd-6th grade students.
  • What does the visit look like?
    • For many schools, a virtual visit is a great option. It allows me to travel the country but keeps the costs down. To have a virtual session, your school must have the needed technology to support it.
    • In a virtual visit, I will be able to screen share and do my standard presentation from the comfort of my house to your classroom. Each session is 30-45 minutes long. I will present my process, talk a bit about myself and do some live sketching with a time for questions and answers from the students.

Have a virtual visit right now!

I love to have a unique visit with each school, but I know that’s not always possible. The good news is you can have me visit your students right now!

I’ve recorded some unique videos that take you through what a typical school visit is like. So fire one up, sit back, and let’s meet each other!

What does it mean to follow your dreams?

This is the typical presentation I give when I visit schools. I walk students through my path in becoming a comic book creator. Along the way, I share what lessons I learned in my pursuit of my dreams.

    Frequently asked questions

At the end of every session, I give kids the chance to ask me questions. In this video, I share the answers to some of the most common questions and do some sketching as well.
